摘要:教师的提问作为课堂教学的重要组成部分,在高中英语课堂中起着重要的作用。教师的问题不仅是学生语言输入的重要来源,也是促进学生的语言输出的一个重要因素,实证研究是必要的。

1.2 Research Motivation
During the study of the literature, many problems are found out as follows:1) The research from most English teachers in high school stayed in the description of the problem andthe analysis of the case. The researchers are better at the study of literature, but the research for theobservation of classroom behavior was less.2) Throughout the whole research of teacher questioning in English classroom, the research in collegeshows strong obviously. And in the research of teacher questioning of the English classroom in highschool, the more the extensive discipline and macro statement, the less the process of micro-analysis.3) In the former research, the more the research on teachers, the less the understanding and research tothe views on students’ feedback. The understanding of the classroom questioning from the high schoolEnglish teachers obviously depend on the theory research from the teachers in other levels, and this studyvirtually confined to the communication between teachers and teachers; for the focus on the requirementsof questioning to high school students is few.Basing on the above problems, this study tries to further analyze the present situation of teachersquestioning in senior high schools’ English class and know the expectations of students on teacherquestioning, so as to seek the questioning strategies giving full play to the students’ learning truly andstructure the effective interactive classroom giving advice to improve the effective foreign languageteaching under the new curriculum.

 

1.3 Research Objectives and Question
The research objectives are as follows: to study the situation of senior high schools’ teacherquestioning in English classroom on types, distribution, waiting time, feedback; to investigate theexpectations of senior high schools’ students to teacher questioning; to provide the suggestions improvingteacher questioning in senior high schools’ English teaching.This study attempts to explore the current situation of teacher questioning in Xinxiang senior highschools. The research questions lists as follows:1) What kinds of problems exist in Xinxiang high schools’ teacher questioning of English class?2) What are the expectations of the students on teacher questioning in Xinxiang high schools?

 

1.4 The Overall Structure of the Thesis
