摘要:With the development of the information technology and economic globalization,English plays an increasingly important role in the international communication andcompetition in various fields. There is a higher demand for high quality talents in somany fields that we must develop a new form of education that can help cultivateindividuals to develop in a more balanced way both mentally and physically,meanwhile, as the economy and education of our country develop, high schooleducation has been widely carried out in the whole country. The function of “electingtalents” of the entry examination has been greatly weakened. School students consistof complex levels. One teaching model for all the students can’t meet the needs fordifferent students with different aptitudes and in different levels.

Thus, the learning strategies and learning efficiencies are greatly improved.In the teaching and learning process, from preparation for the class , in class activitiesto after class assignments for the students, different level content and strategies ofteaching and learning are carried out; from words to phrases, from sentences topassages, from control situational learning tasks to free talk activities, more space isset for different level students so that self study self management strategies can bedeveloped ,and good psychology situation and strong confidence can be cultivated. Inassessment, the usage of process assessment can satisfy the needs of different levelstudents, which can motivate the students to learn more positively. The results of theexperiment prove that multi-level teaching can greatly help to improve the teachingquality.Thus, we can get such pedagogical implications as follows:1) Don’t hesitate to carry out multi-level teaching. Because, it is proved in theexperiment that multi-level teaching is an effective way for English teaching ,and itmeets the needs of different level students,2) Do more research about the students’ learning background and difficulties. Only wedo this can we really carry out multi-level teaching successfully and can motivatethe students to learn with stronger interest and satisfaction. For A level students, weshould learn their need more accurately and then offer more extensive teachingmaterials .What’s more, we can consider arranging developing part in the test so thatcan encourage A level students to explore further. For C level students, we shouldcare more about their self respect and arrange suitable learning material for them sothat they can learn with more confidence and interest, and eventually gain theirimprovement.3) Consider more about the students’ interest and learning aptitude when grouping. Infurther exploring about multi-level teaching, we should bring the students’ interestand learning aptitude into consideration, which will bring new angles andexperiences to our experiments.4) Try to care more about the needs of each individual’s .Give as much help as possibleand satisfy the students’ individual needs for development. By doing this ,we cannot only help the students improve their academic achievement ,but also help thestudents to grow psychologically healthier, which in return will benefit theirlearning activities.In the course of the experiment, there are also many problems concerned.Firstly, Honglou High School is an ordinary High School. The learningbackground of the students of Honglou High School is generally weaker than that ofthe key schools. So there may be different answers to the research multi-levelteaching in the key schools.Secondly, as the multi-level teaching is being carried out, the former managementof the two experimental classes in English class is disturbed, and different teachingplans and speeds are implemented in the experimental classes, which sometimes leadto burden to the organization for the classes.Thirdly, for different level students, different level class preparations, teachingcontents, learning activities, teaching methods need to be offered. All these bringheavy load for the teacher’s daily work.Despite the limitations, multi-level teaching can help to achieve the goal of “allfor the development of the students”, and help to “teach according to differentstudents”.
