, the information I got from the questionnaires indicated that they are not completely convinced about the concept of the Dara Darbaaar. “The teachings of Data Darbaar are 100% un-islamic and our nation should not worship Data Ganj Baksh”(Rasheed Ahmad, personal communication,2011).This was the opinion of one of random people I interviewed outside the Data Darbaaar. Most of the people shared the same view that the word Data must not be used as it refers to the One who gives, and God is the only one who gives. Also worshipping a person's grave is considered un-Islamic. After analyzing both the material I got from the data darbaar and from the general public, I concluded that the teachings of Data darbaar aren't entirely convincing and its historical significance is just an attraction for the public which cause the large number of visits.

Another source of material for my domain came from peer makki bazaar.i interviewed the general secretary (Hafiz Bashir Ahmad Shakir) of the market. Apart from sharing with us the socio-economic problems of the area which obviously had much negative impact, the one positive aspect of the walled city was the religious attractions of it. When I asked him the question that what are the particular attractions and their impacts, his reply was “Definitely our market benefits from the locality as the surroundings have a number of religious and cultural buildings. Majority of the people visit the walled city to witness the places such as Data Darbaar, Badshahi Masjid and Minar-e-Pakisan”(Hafiz Bashir Ahmad Shakir, personal communication,2011). This seemed to be relevant because when we interviewed the local constables and general public, they said that the major reason people come to shop in these areas is indeed the religious attraction of the walled city. This was the one positive result of the cultural value of the area. However, in recent years the walled city has become victim of a number of terrorist attacks. This too can be related to the religious factor of the place. The main motives of terrorists are to create gaps/sects between the Muslim community and promote hatred among the Sunnis and Shias. That is why such places are targeted in order to raise conflicts among these different sects of the Muslim Community. In an interview with a resident of Saidpur Multan Road, Muhammad Khurram Hanif, I came to know that many of the Muslims always blame the other sect for such terrorist events which lead to increased hatred among the Muslims. However, people like him who are stern followers of Data Ganj Baksh are not demotivated by such attacks and keep visiting the walled city. This testifies to the fact that the spiritual attractions for the Data Ganj Bakshs followers is very positive.

Finally, after all the research and analysis of the material I obtained, I concluded that the religious factor positively contributes to the economic conditions of the walled city as many people are attracted to the area just because of the historical and spiritual buildings. However, the religious point of view also contributes to terrorist attacks and the teachings of Data Darbaar are itself quite questionable.
