摘要:在这篇论文中,笔者将进行调查,就目前的情况和问题,在英语口语教学和学习及学历。此外,笔者将基于任务的方法应用到英语课中。

knowledge. Students will gain knowledge mutually through interactiveactivities. In addition, this approach is also characterized by the dominantrole of students in the classroom activities. They are the centre of learning.The teacher will only help students fulfill the designated activities. Thetask-based teaching will enable students to be more independent andcreative in language learning.
By the task-based approach, students can think and communicatemore in a free, easy and harmonious environment in which students willhave more interest and enthusiasm to learn and practice the knowledgethey have learned. Teacher should ask students to apply the learnedknowledge into positive and creative mutual communication of ideas andopinions as well as team cooperation. Students can gain more about theusage of language during the communication. At the same time,cooperation can improve students’ communicative skills, and the studentscan benefit a lot from it in the future.


Chapter 2 literature review


In this chapter, the author will present a literature review, includingtask description, theoretical account of TBA, a brief description ofprevious study of TBA both in China and abroad, an introduction aboutoral English theories, and the implementation of TBA in oral Englishteaching.


2.1 TBA Description


2.1.1 Definitions of TBA
TBA is not only a concrete teaching approach, but also a teachingideology. One must master the meaning of the tasks, if she wants to reallyunderstand TBA,.A lot of definitions of “task” exist in the literature in which there is adifference between real-world tasks and pedagogical tasks. Real-worldtasks refer to use of language in the real world beyond the classroom;pedagogical tasks are those that happen only in the classroom. Tasks aredescribed as follows:
Michael Long offers a broad definition of task, Task is a type of jobwhich done for oneself or for others, for nothing or for some awards. Thistype of task includes weighing a patient, filling out a form, helpingsomeone across a road, dressing a child, making an airline reservation,buying a pair of shoes, taking a driving test, borrowing a library book,sorting letters, typing a letter, writing a cheque, painting a fence, taking a hotel reservation, and finding a street direction. In other words, “task”means all things people do everyday in all aspects of life. (Long, 1985:89)David Nunan looks on a task as a piece of work happened inclassroom, which making students involve in understanding, applying,producing or communicating in the target language as their attention ismainly paid to stimulate their grammatical knowledge in order todeliver meaning rather than to utilize form. The task still has a sense ofperfection, and can stand out a communicative behavior in its side at anystage. (Nunan, 1989:13)
