摘要:本文是一篇商务英语论文,本报告通过案例分析,探讨了在一次关于“一带一路”倡议对土耳其和印尼地区影响的访谈中,释意论在交替传译实践中的应用。

ew topic and culturalbackground.In terms of equipment,the interpreter first familiarized himself with the use ofthe zoom platform in advance to ensure stable transmission,then tested the stability of theplatform by connecting it with the interview participants in advance.And finally heprepared a backup conference platform of Teams,and tablets to cope with the breakdownof hardware and software.

In the context of thematic analysis in the interpreting,one crucial step is to guaranteeaccuracy and fluency.The interpreter begain by gathering background information,reviewing local media assessments of the Belt and Road’s influence in Indonesia andTurkey,news articles,and important documents.Additionally,the interpreter consultedoverseas resources like WeC hat and YouTube for information.By utilizing these sources,the interpreter gained insight into the overall context and significance of the subject matter,as well as potential areas of focus for the individuals being interviewed.

2.2 Interpreting

Interpreting involves not only interpreting a speaker’s message into the targetlanguage but also engaging in interaction and social activities that respect culturalequivalence.(Yin Donghao 57).The process of interpreting involves transforming aspeaker’s message into a target language comprehensively.During the consecutiveinterpreting of interviews,the interpreter faced various challenges and difficulties,including cultural nuances.He must quickly adapt and acurately convey the messageaccording to interpretive theory.

First of all,an important aspect of the interpreting process is the difference inlinguistic conventions.As presented in Chapter One,there were differences in vocabulary use,sentence structure,grammar,etc.between Indonesian and Turkish English andorthodox English language and culture.The interpreter must be able to recognize andunderstand these differences and make necessary adjustments and transitions in real-timeinterpreting to ensure that the message is conveyed accurately.For example,Indonesianscholars’common sentence structure lacked tenses or ignores tenses,and the interpreterneeded to make tense and active-passive additions in the Chinese output.In the interview,foreign scholars often mention the result first,followed by the cause in their interviews.Therefore,the interpreter needed to quickly adjust the cause and effect relationship to alignwith Chinese thinking.Through the guidance of interpretive theory,the interpreter realizedthat he needed to understand the speaker’s intention and expression and put them intoappropriate expressions in the target language.In this scenario,the interpreter chose toprovide a direct interpretation and supplemented it with relevant background informationand explanations to ensure the accurate transmission of the message.This approach wassuccessful,as both the speaker and the audience were able to understand and accept theinterpretation.
