p;case  of  letter  teaching,  vocabulary  teaching  case,  and  scene  teaching  case  and  so  on,  in  order  to  cultivate  primary  school  students’  interest  in  learning English  and  improve  the  effectiveness  of  English  teaching  in  primary  schools.  This  research takes the game vocabulary teaching case as the research object. The author hopes to provide a little  help  for  primary  school  English  teachers  in  the  teaching  process  of  the  application  of game teaching in theory and practice.  Today we advocate quality education. However, because of various reasons, we are still given priority to exam-oriented education, evaluating the teaching effect by the students’ test scores,  and  having  the  unitary  evaluation  criteria  of  classroom  teaching,  all  of  which  have  a restraining  effect  on  the  pupils’  curiosity  and  the  way  of  thinking.  The  introduction  of  game teaching in primary English class makes the primary school English classroom teaching have some  beneficial  reform  attempt.  Through  consulting  literature  materials,  the  research  of primary school education in our country is still insufficient. Most of the teachers are based on their  own  practical  experience,  paying  attention  to  the  actual  operation  and  less  theoretical exploration, but scientific practice needs theory to guide.

2   Literature review 

This  paper  introduces  the  English  teaching  method － game  teaching  approach.  It explores this method from several aspects including the definitions, types of games, the value of games, the theoretical basis and previous studies on game teaching approach. 

2.1   Game teaching approach 
In  the  “dictionary”,  games  are  the  main  purpose  of  direct  access  to  pleasure,  and  must have the main body to participate in interactive activities.
