Actually this management mode had several obvious advantages to help Tsann Kuen Group to respond fast to the market, especially at very beginning of the business. We can learn it from the case; Tsann Kuen Group achieved a very big success in their beginning just because of this management mode. But everything has two sides, when the firm is getting bigger and bigger. The business that they involved in is become more and more complicate than ever, the vertical hierarchy organizational structure can’t respond so quickly to the market than it used to be. Because the managing power is so centralized, and the link between the top and the bottom is become very long and tedious, it will slow down the execution speed a lot. When a family firm is become bigger especially when its business is covering so many different markets in the world, the management is become more and more complicate and tedious because everyday the parent company should process a huge number of information from different branch companies of the world. Every market is unique and different from the others, they should be treated differently.
