摘要:本文是英语语言学论文,本文对起始规范进行重构,两译本的总体构成和源文一致,保留源文本的破折号运用,而未使用目的语语言系统中的标点习惯。两者都向源语语言和文化的规范靠拢,偏向适当性翻译。
xcellent children’s literature translation. This thesis aims to have significance in both theory and practice. Theoretically, the author tries to prove that Toury’s translational norms theory could guide the research on translation of children’s literature and devotes to widen the space of translation research. Practically, taking the linguistic and cultural factors of the place where the target text settles into consideration, the author attempts to discover the universal norms regulating the decision-making in the translation process with the aim to produce more and more excellent literature for children. Through reading high-quality literature works, children could widen their horizon of knowledge, have a deeply understanding of the world and cultivate their own cross-cultural communicative consciousness at an early age.

Chapter 2 Literature Review
Literature is a very complicated system with various genres contained. Children’s literature is one of the genres playing an important role in the literature system. Among the works, the translation ones take a large proportion. The translation of foreign excellent works of children’s literature contributes to the development of children’s physical and mental health, enables them to have acquaintance with the world, and helps improve their language ability. However, the research on children’s literature translation is still in a position of the edge, especially in China. In this chapter, the author will introduce children’s literature translation briefly and then discuss about the previous studies on children’s literature translation in China.
2.1 An Introduction to Children’s Literature Translation
Children’s literature is different from adults’ literature. It serves as spiritual food for children in their growth. There are many definitions about it made by scholars at home and abroad. “Swedish expert Gote Klingberg points out that children’s literature is such a literature that produced specifically for children” (Oittinen, 2000: 62). Oittinen (2000: 62) claims that “children’s literature could be anything that a child finds interesting”. In his opinion, children’s literature not only refers to books but also covers a large scope of things. Even a toy, a cup could be literature as long as children are interested in. In China, Zhou Zuoren (1923) holds that children’s literature is to satisfy children’s interests and tastes, and any materials that children love can be provided to them without concerning the practical values.
