4.1Data analysis and discussion of the pre-test of EC and CC

In  order  to  reveal  the  real  situations  of  the  students’  learning  English,  the researcher carried out the normal pre-test for Class 255 and Class 254 and used the Excels  to  analyze the  statistics. The following  were  the statistics of the pre-test  of Class 255 and Class 245. The researcher aimed to find whether there were quite clear differences for the two classes in English achievements. Table  4-1  and  Table  4-2  demonstrated  with  the  relevant  data  the  English achievements of Class 255 and Class 254 in the pre-test. Judging from the data of Class 255 and Class 254 in the pre-test, the students’ mean score of Class 255 was 74.049, and the students’ mean score of Class 254 was 73.028, which had the similar mean score as Class 255 and Class 254. Judging from the data of Class 255 and Class 254 in the pre-test, the number of the students passing the examination in both Class 255 and Class 254 was 14. As for the English achievements of Class 255 and Class 254  in  the  pre-test,  the  students’  Std.  deviation  of  Class  255  was  21.70,  and  the students’  Std.  deviation  of  Class  254  was  21.82,  which  revealed  the  similar  Std. deviation for Class 255 and Class 254. So, the abilities of learning English revealed by Class 255 and Class 254 were very close. Class 255 and Class 254 had the same starting line. Before the experiment, Class 255 and Class 254 in terms of the English learning  abilities  were  similar.  The  researcher  used  the  students  of  Class  255  and Class 254 as participants in the research.

Conclusion 

This  chapter  is  the  conclusion  of  the  research.  Firstly,  the  results  of  the  main findings  in  the  research  will  be  provided.  Secondly,  the  chapter  will  point  out  the limitations in the research. Lastly, the recommendations for the future research will be provided. The  researcher  of  this  case  study  uses  the  Excels  to  collect  and  analyze  the statistics of the pre-test and the post-test by way of contrasting the statistics of Class 255 (EC) and Class 254 (CC).  The students’ Std. deviation of Class 254 in the pre-test was lower than that of Class 254 in the post-test.
