Then in Ernest Hemingway’s full-length novel The Sun also rises, he also dramatizes the sense of lost direction for this generation after the war. The young men’s energies are exhausted by the war and destroyed by the war. It is this life style that gives the decade of the 1920s such nickname as “The Jazz Age”.
