摘要:本文是初中英语教学论文,本研究通过问卷调查、测试、访谈等方法收集相关数据和信息,并用 SPSS17.0对所收集的数据和信息进行深入分析,实验结果发现:在经过基于感知学习风格的教学后,学生的英语自主学习能力显著提高,并且学生掌握英语词汇的能力也明显提高。

After reading the extensive literature on learning styles, no one can’t understand there existing a wide range of definitions of perceptual learning styles from different perspectives. Dunn and Dunn (1975) assume that perceptual learning style is to remember and incorporate some new and difficult information, whose elements include environment, emotion, sociological preferences, and psychological characteristics. Keefe (1979) believes that perceptual learning styles can be seen as steady demonstrators of how learners perform such as their cognitive, affective and physiological factors.

2.2 Previous studies on perceptual learning styles
There are numerous studies on perceptual learning styles both at home and abroad, which are summed up in the following part. The ranges of the study on learning styles abroad are wide, mainly including three stages: From 1950s to 1960s is the first stage. Learning styles are defined from different perspectives; From 1970s to 1980s is the second stage. The theories of learning styles are constituted and many linguists explore and investigate the field of learning styles; From 1990s to now is the third stage. Many empirical studies on learning styles sprout up, and the theory of learning styles is put into some specialized fields (Bailey, Anthony & Daley, 2000). In the 1970s, Dunn and Dunn first undertook research on perceptual learning styles of American students. Their study has attracted many researchers’ attention, then various related studies are conducted.Some studies probe into the relation between perceptual learning styles and culture. Reid’s (1987) study presents that non-native speakers of English (who had lived and studied in the United States for a long time) and native speakers have the similar preferred learning styles. Oxford, Hollaway and Horton-Murillo (1992) reveal that in the perceptual learning styles, culture acts an important role unconsciously adopted by many participants.
