摘要:本文是初中英语教学论文,本文首先介绍了阅读能力的重要性和阅读教与学的现状,从而引出将阅读策略应用到实际中的意义。其次,阐述了语言学习策略、阅读策略的定义和分类,以及国内外研究现状,并对相关理论进行重点说明。

history. Various definitions of it have been given by language researchers and experts. Reading has sometimes been characterized as receptive or passive normally. Reading may also simply means decoding written language. In modern times, with the involvement and different points of view of linguists as well as psychologists, the definition of reading is changing increasingly. As mentioned by Goodman, reading is a “psycholinguistic process” , where readers sample the text, make hypotheses about what is coming next, confirm or disconfirm them, then make new hypotheses, and so on. An interaction between the target language and thought is involved (Goodman, 1989). Hu Chundong and Dai Zhongxin hold the view that the process of reading is to understand the information of a language. He strongly emphasizes on the role of the readers’ existing knowledge and experience in reading and points out that “understanding doesn’t mean readers perceive the meaning of the text but give the meaning. Readers can understand the text because he has the experience of knowledge” (Hu Chundong and Dai Zhongxin, 1998). From the points of view above, reading is an interaction between the readers and the text. Readers comprehend and interpret the written symbols by relating them to their own experience, construct the meaning from the print and make sense of it. Therefore, teaching reading strategies needs building a clear definition of reading. The language understanding process is not only from lexical level, sentence level or discourse level, but also the meaning construction and comprehension, as well as the responding to what is read.
