Conclusion
Meanwhile, to satisfy the demand of high-efficiency reading, learners need todevelop the whole-word representations, since the processing route to whole-wordrepresentations is assumed to be time-saving and low-cost. In the transition from themorpheme-based reading to the full-form reading, sufficient language exposure isnecessary. In this sense, the learners should be encouraged to have more reading practicein which the exposure to the full words can be increased.What’s more, the findings of present study also reveal that the words aremorphologically related in the ML.
