摘要:本文是一篇阅读理解论文,研究借助改进的弗兰德斯互动分析系统(iFIAS),以初中英语阅读课堂为研究对象,运用iFIAS中的视频观察法、比率分析法和矩阵分析法进行数据分析。

6.1 Major Findings
This study centers on teacher-student verbal interaction in English reading classof junior high school.Based on iFIAS,the overall characteristics of teacher-studentverbal interaction has been analyzed,which is composed of five aspects,namelyclassroom structure,teachers’teaching style,teachers’questioning,the feature ofstudents’speech,classroom silence and technology.The major findings are presentedas following.
Firstly,the ratio of teachers’talk is higher than that of students’.It shows that inmost English reading classes,the right of control and word power is in the hands ofteachers,who dominates the classroom.However,compared with the data norm,theresult indicates that teachers intentionally reduce their own talking time and createmore opportunities for students to speak,think,read silently or do exercises.Specifically,in the English reading class of Wuhan X junior high school,the teachingprocess is in line with the requirements of the new curriculum reform,which stressesstudents’main role in class.In terms of teaching content,it is shown that teachers arenot only explaining the knowledge of the textbook but also extending the textbookaccording to their teaching experiences and students’level.What’s more,findingproves that as an experienced teacher,he or she can arrange well of teachers’talk andstudents’talk,namely balance the time of students’input and output aimed atoptimizing the structure of the classroom.
Secondly,most teachers tend to exert direct influence and negative reinforcementon students in English reading class.The detail behaviors are teachers’lecturing andinstructions.As a result,teachers should gradually change their teaching style fromdirect to indirect.As for the classroom language,teachers should improve the style oflanguage,and give positive feedback to students,such as accepting students’emotions,encouraging,and adopting students’opinions.
