As songs are always full of emotions and rhythm, singing aloud with the help of the melody and the musicality of language is useful for memorizing words, especially their pronunciation. Just as is mentioned in part two of this paper, according to Murphey, “song-stuck-in-my-head” phenomenon is a melodic Din. And also according to Mora, music may leave a very deep trace in our memories; melody is simply like a cue to bring to mind the accurate information we are trying to recall. That is to say, during singing the song aloud, melody and rhythm are helping with remembering authentic and accurate word pronunciation, especially those difficult ones. So after listening to and learning this song for several times, one can at least say out half of these states’ names. He/She can say something about the song. He/She may know some of the states very well, thus he/she can say to himself/herself like this: “I know that California is…”, or “I like Florida because…” etc.. If possible, he/she can introduce this song to others in English---this is an opportunity to practice spoken English. Thus, when talking about America, one will find it easy to say something about some of these states.
5.3 When listening to and learning English songs with another person or more
When two or more persons listen to English songs together, they can carry on kinds of activities to practice spoken English, such as, discussion or argument, retelling or story-telling, performance and so on.
For example, after learning the popular old song Auld Lang Syne which is often played on TV or on the radio or in ballrooms, the topic “friendship” can be discussed. Another song Tie a Yellow Ribbon round the Old Oak Tree is also a good choice for practicing spoken English. Actually, this song tells a moving love story. We know that story telling is an interesting and effective way of practicing spoken English. So after learning this song, the learners can try to use their own imagination to tell the love story in English. Or they can say something about the heroin in this love story. They can even have a further discussion about “love”. For example, the question “What is true love?” can be discussed.
To sum up, English songs provide lots of topics for discussion. So long as they are used in an effective way, they will do much good to the improvement of spoken English.

When it comes to using songs to improve spoken English, there are three points should be paid attention to, that is, pre-listening, while-listening, and post-listening, and post-listening comes first as to practice spoken English. Therefore, English teachers should put emphasis on post-listening. Variety of oral activities can be adopted: post-listening questions, post-listening explaining, post-listening retelling, post-listening discussion, post-listening imitation, post-listening performance, etc.. In the following paragraphs, two examples are given:
Example1: Story telling is a very useful way
