n Japanese, while not every body in Toyota’s teams can read Japanese. They need interpreters to translate the Japanese materials for them to comprehend the meanings. This causes possibilities of misunderstanding (Hasegawa and Yōzō, 2008). Worse while, it is hard for the chief managers and the local managers to communicate and change ideas with each other, at least they could hardly communicate directly. It brings problems to the cooperation between the leaders and team members. These problems caused by the team design are unavoidable for all the international companies; however, many of them have achieved success in operating teams including the Toyota. As a result, though there are many problems and obstacles Toyota is facing, under the efficient and proper management and cooperation in the team, the teams inner Toyota Company could make fine team effectiveness and favorable benefit.

The teams in Toyota use TPS to modify the management and production. The TPS norm is the logogram of Toyota Production style. It is a particular norm that is initiated and operated in Toyota; nowadays it is learned and applied by more and more companies especially the international manufacturing companies for it brings about high efficiency and high capacity (Robbie Davis-Floyd, 2009). Generally speaking, the TPS norm in found up by two parts, first one is “just in time”, the Toyota do not produce within predictions and plans, it starts to produce right after the customers reserve the products. In this way, the stored money and stored products would be less, thus the total cost of production is reduced. The second one is “automatic”, different from the ordinary automatic productions which pursue high speed, large capacity and multi-functional machines; Toyota produces automatic machines with proper speed, specific functions and small in types. As a result, Toyota could produce both large and small quantities of the demanded products quickly and eligibly.
Team effectiveness:
In Toyota, the goal of the teams of sales department is to sell as many cars as possible, the goal of the service department is to provide better services for the customers, and the goal of the production department is to make the best cars in the world. However, the common goal of all the staffs in Toyota is the same, it is to make Toyota cars better and make the company more competitive in the world. Due to the common goals they pursue, with the collective effort of every member of the company, Toyota has achieved tremendous success and has grown to be one of the world’s most strong magnates.
