In this chapter, the author will answer the research questions mentioned in the chapterthree and discuss the data collected in the experiment. Through the data analysis, we will findout the current situation in non-English major students’ English writing. By analyzing thestudents’ compositions and finding the common problems the non-English major studentsmeet in the English writing process, the author found that the factors influencing the Englishwriting was various. The author finds that common problems focus on the lack of students’autonomy and the students feel that they cannot control themselves in the writing process.From the view of the experiential learning theory, the mistake the students made in thewriting process can be explained that they didn’t engage in the writing process fully anddidn’t have concrete experience. In the following part, the author will analyze the commonproblems according to the data collected from the experiential learning experiment.

Conclusion

The experiment results have evidenced the questions we came up with before theexperiment. The experiential teaching solved the problems appearing in the traditional writingteaching from all the aspects, including grammar, practical writing, language form andlanguage meaning and so on. The writing process is full of reflection, comprehension andself-examination, which stimulate the students’ interest to the biggest extent, improve theirability of finding problems and solving problems, and cultivate their awareness of cooperation.The students can experience the pleasure of success.There are some useful findings supporting the success of the experiential writing: in the experiential learning, the teacher designs the activities from the perspectiveof the students. Before designing the activities, the teacher makes a full consideration of thestudents’ writing level and pays more attention on the improvement of the students’ writingstrategies. Therefore, the students have clear aims to do the activities and do theself-reflection. the experiential learning is closely to the students’ life, learning process as wellas the current situation of the society; therefore, it can reach a consensus with the students,stimulating the students’ sense of participation which makes students realize the significanceof improving the ability.
