Conclusion


Although efforts are taken to justify the research done in this paper, a few limitationsare still subject to attention and are yet to be improved. First, the number of subjectstaking part in the study is rather small. In this experiment, subjects are confined to onlyone of the college students. Taking into consideration factors such as cognitivedevelopment, intelligence, and English proficiency etc, results from this experimentmay lack validity to be generalized to all the second language learners in China. Moreconvincing results could be gained if the experiment is carried out in a larger scale.The second limitation is concerned with the research method. Although much work inanalyzing data has been done in quantitative method, some more qualitative methodscould be adopted to strengthen the reliability and validity of the study. Finally,considering that the proposed teaching model couldn’t be applied to all the topics, itindicates that there are still some limitations of the proposed teaching model.Despite its limitations, the author hopes the present study will throw some light onthe current listening teaching and help students improve their listening ability.
