Conclusion
Although this experiment has answered the two research questions, it is influencedby some uncontrollable subjective and objective factors; therefore, some limitations stillexit in this study.In the first place, the number of the subjects involved in the study and the scale ofthe experiment are a bit small. There are only 84 sophomores in three classes from oneuniversity. Therefore,the size of the experimental sample is not big enough to fullyrepresent the overall level of English learning ability of college students majoring inEnglish in China.The second limitation is related to the time span of the whole experiment. Thepresent experiment only lasts for only about five months; the period of the experimentseems too short to ensure the data and results to be more convincing, for English cannotbe well mastered in such a short time span and the learners need to make great effort tograsp the language step by step.Furthermore, this experiment only puts the students' scores of writingcompositions and lexical chunks tests into consideration when the data analysis isconducted, and the experiment is only conducted in a single EG Therefore,if thenumbers of lexical chunks in students' compositions are also collected and analyzed viaSPSS 19.0,and if there is a Control Group used to making a contrast with EQ then theadvantages of chunk-based teaching model can be better presented.
At last, the biggest difficulty for Chinese students' English learning may be theinfluence from their mother tongue.
