airly long termof experiment with more careful arrangement. Text recitation is a kind of comprehensivememorization, which combines vocabulary, grammar and the other factors. Therefore, ten-week experimental period is not adequate. The more time students devote to the text recitationthe better the results are.
Through this research, the attitude and the practical situation of students to text recitationand the effect of text recitation are already revealed. It suggests that we should pay muchmore attention to the methods of text recitation, which should have a position in Englishteaching and learning. Therefore, it is necessary to apply text recitation into English writingteaching and learning in Chinese context. It also indicates that we shouldn’t abandon sometraditional ways of language teaching and learning with merits in our country. Researchers should bravely attempt and try to find out more methods which are in accordance withChinese conditions and with Chinese characteristics in teaching practice that we can reallyimprove foreign language teaching quality of our country.
