Conclusion
According to the study, teacher feedback in different class types elicited differentstudent output in order to fulfill different goals. Thus, in different class types teachershould flexibly adopt teacher feedback which is more likely to elicit student output.In reading classes, elicitation, repetition and comprehension check is recommendedin this study.In listening and speaking classes, in order to achieve smooth communication witheach other. More discoursal feedback should be adopted. Teacher feedback which elicitmore student output are comprehension check, clarification, confirmation check.In grammar classes, the structure of the new presented grammar is the focus. Thus,repetition, metalinguistic and clarification can facilitate student language acquisition. Consderation of other factorsLanguage acquisition in junior middle school is a process of interaction betweenteacher and students or between students, therefore, besides student output, teachersshould also consider the characteristics of junior middle school students and offer them agood atmosphere in class. When offering feedback, more positive feedback and promptshould be considered to help students achieve self-promotion, while, explicit feedbackshould be adopted with more consideration.
It is suggested that more attention should be focused on the influence of teacherfeedback on student language acquisition. In the future study, besides the amount ofstudent output, the quality of the student output is also concerned. It will further explorewhat kinds of teacher feedback are more likely to elicit comprehensible student output indifferent class types.
