BEFORE GIVING SPECIFIC MARKS FOR THE PROCESS, IDENTIFY INTO WHICH OF THE FOLLOWING

Exceptional and outstanding containing very clearly considered and posed research questions; thorough
literature review; discussion of relevant theory, explanation and discussion of chosen methodology and
techniques, presentation and analysis of empirical findings; clear links between theory and empirical findings;
succinct conclusions and appropriate recommendations for good practice. Overall a unique and original
study.
(b) 70-79%
Excellent 'clear distinction' in the way the study follows and applies the guidance including those points
shown in the above category but without necessarily being a unique and original study.
(c) 60-69%
Very good, better then average application of study requirements, containing clear problem definition; clear
structure that shows hypo
thesis, aim(s), objectives and an appropriate methodology full range and use of
data, including literature review, surveys, interviews; clear analysis, interpretation, synthesis, conclusions
and recommendations; quality professional presentation in terms of layout grammar and spelling.
(d) 50-59%
Good, and works hard to apply study requirements; containing clear evidence of working hard to apply the
above requirements, but with a less successful application of the components.
(e) 40-49%
Satisfactory, but below average and weak in study requirements - recognised problem with structure and
some attempt at aims and objectives; some literature references; some attempt to pull together the findings;
acceptable presentation.
(f) Below 40%
failure lacking in most of the key requirements from the study guidance containing little or no evidence of
following the guidance with its clear components.
