The study finds out that: 1. The teacher-student relationship between first-gradejunior high school students and their English teachers generally presents an ideal andjoyous state. The first-grade junior high school students have a solid attachment to theteacher. 2. The students’ overall English learning motivation in the first year of juniorhigh school is at a medium level, and the instrumental motivation is stronger than theintegrative motivation. 3. There is a correlation between the English learningmotivation of the first-grade junior high school students and their teacher-studentrelationship. Integrative motivation has a significant medium-strength positivecorrelation with the two positive dimensions of the teacher-student relationship. It hasa significant low-strength negative correlation with the two negative dimensions ofthe teacher-student relationship. There is a significant low-intensity positive correlation between instrumental motivation and the two positive dimensions ofteacher-student relationship. There is no apparent correlation between instrumentalmotivation and the two negative dimensions of the teacher-student relationship.
