摘要:本文是英语词汇学论文,当前的研究是为了调查当前的中学英语词汇教学的现状,并通过问卷调查、采访、测验和书本分析来获得原始资料。
Chapter Four Results and Discussion
4.1 Results and Discussion of Questionnaires
In this part, the results of questionnaires are reported and interpreted according to theresearch questions. At the same time, the discussion of questionnaires will be analyzed.According to the previous chapter, the questionnaires consist of teacher questionnaires andstudent questionnaires. In this investigation, 15 questionnaires are given out among teachers and all of them arereturned and valid, which means the questionnaire-reclaiming efficiency reaches 100%. Thequestionnaires for teachers are divided into two parts. They are about teachers’ understandingof vocabulary teaching and teachers’ vocabulary teaching methods and strategies. The formeris made up of the idea of vocabulary teaching, understanding of requirements on vocabularyteaching and teachers’ personal efforts while the latter consists of the strategy, methods andmeans of vocabulary teaching. Therefore, the results and discussion of teacher questionnaireswill follow the two parts and the data collected from the questionnaires will be presented.

Conclusion
According to the results and discussion in chapter four, the major findings of thisresearch can be summarized as follows.In the first place, the current situation of English vocabulary teaching in junior highschool is in accordance with the requirements of New English Curriculum Standards in juniorhigh school to a large extent. Both teachers and students give a great recognition towards theimportance of vocabulary teaching and they affirm the essential status of vocabulary teachingand learning in English teaching. As for teachers, they spare no efforts to improve the qualityof vocabulary teaching in accordance with the requirements of the New English CurriculumStandards in junior high school. They try their best to master the key point of vocabularyteaching and finish vocabulary teaching tasks timely. Besides, they also regularly carry outteaching reflection and receive relevant teaching training. The teacher acts as a guide, aparticipant and an assistant in English vocabulary teaching.
