摘要:本文是英语词汇学论文,In the Internet age, affluent online learning materials are convenient for students’ learning. This thesisstudied the online vocabulary learning software and evaluate it. The study is important for the followingreasons.
Chapter IV Results and Discussion
4.1 Data analysis
In this chapter, the pre-test and post-test scores are put into SPSS 17.0, according to the analysis results,the author concludes whether online vocabulary learning is more efficient. This experiment lasted for oneentire semester, during this period all the participants in the experiment had spend much time in vocabularylearning. In this experiment, the scores of participants’ post-test were expected to be higher than that ofthe pre-test, and the experimental group was expected to easier than the control group in the process ofvocabulary learning. At the beginning of the semester, all the participants in the experiment took the pre-test of CET-4vocabulary contest (Appendix I). As for the two groups have the same English teacher and the sameEnglish courses during the semester, so I chose these two groups to do this experiment. Class one is thecontrol group and class two is the experimental group. The following table 4.1 is the data description aboutthe pre-test scores of two groups.

Conclusion
Vocabulary learning is very important to English learners, the results analysis show that a goodvocabulary learning method can improve the efficiency of vocabulary learning. Through pre-test, post-test,and interviews, the author analyzes the two group students during the experiment, and the advantages ofonline vocabulary learning. The following summarizes the research results of this paper: When students are learning English vocabulary, information is acquired by the context, pronunciationand image in this software. It is a comprehensive process. Internet technology and multimedia change thelearning mode by the features of transferring information. College students can choose their own suitablestudy ways. Researches show that eighty-three percent of the information that human achieved is from thevision, eleven percent from hearing. So, when students are learning vocabulary with the software, they arelearning with these kinds of senses. Internet can offer a good vocabulary learning environment that studentscan also communicate with each other, in which they can practice their vocabulary with various kinds ofsenses. According to the scores analysis in the chapter four, the author found that after the experiment, theexperimental group scores have improved more. Therefore the experimental group vocabulary learning ismore efficient than the control group.
