Yahoo and MSN are also trying to update their services and they are doing well however they still had to capture the success as Google has done.

 

Apple’s iPhone is also one of the most important competitor Google Inc is facing now a days. Apple iPhone became Google’s competitor after Google introduced Android Operating system. Android phones make the big slice of the entire market pie. However apple uses its own operating system known as iOS. Many other companies has also offered Android power phones, so the market is now well saturated. However there is no one Android phone that would come.

 

Another important competitor of Google Inc is Microsoft. Microsoft has released BING in 2009. Bing is a search engine. It’s been giving quite tough time to Google search engine. Microsoft have improved Bing. Microsoft added image search and mapping. But in reply Google have unveiled real time search. These two giants are competing with each other. Other competitors of Google Inc includes Face book ,twitter, Mozilla etc In short we can say that Google is facing intense competition.

 

Threat of Substitution

 

The internet has become the primary source of information gathering and queries. Search engine is the main source used for searching the web and collecting information. Search engine provides the results needed. And user then decides which result is more useful and more relevant to them. As of now there is no close substitute of internet. Google Inc has done quite well in positioning itself on the internet for a long term success. There is no suitable substitute available for searching the web.
