4 Data Analysis and Discussion
4.1 Data Analysis
To clearly show the result of the teaching experiment, a pre-test, a post-test, apre-questionnaire and a post-questionnaire were adopted. Specifically, the pre-questionnairewith 5 questions was done to show students’ attitude towards the current teaching style. Thepost-questionnaire which included 7 questions was designed to show students’ attitudechanges towards the new teaching style. The pre-test was used to test whether the participantsin the CC (Controlled Class) and the EC (Experimental Class) had similar English proficiencybefore the implementation of the experiment. The post-test was done to show the changes inboth the CC and the EC after the teaching experiment. Relative data were collected accordingto the plan and they were analyzed scientifically and objectively through tables, figures andcomparisons. Detailed analysis was shown below. As was shown in the table, 40% participants were content with the current style, amongthem; only 12% participants were completely satisfied and 28% participants were basicallycontent with the current traditional teaching model. 44% participants were not content withthe current model and 16% students chose “no idea”. We can infer from the data that 60%participants were not content with the traditional model, among them, 4 participants showedtheir indifference to this question. One of the reasons for these 4 participants’ indifferencemight be that they don’t care what the teaching methods was adopted because they had nointerest in learning English. Concern was aroused because most of the students were notsatisfied with the current teaching style; this became the driving force of the implementationof the teaching experiment.

On the premise of overview of the theoretical basis and the synthesis of the languagegame model, the research was conducted according to the original plan.
