Conclusion

The current research has its own limitations:First, this study mainly focuses on quantitative research. Other research methods such asinterviews, observation and think-aloud are necessarily to be used in future study to ensurethe reliability of the results. What’s more, in addition to distinguish of students group andtask-based reading conditions, other variables like gender, age and major should be taken intoaccount.Second, strategy questionnaire in this study are objective multiple-choice questions, thesubjects can only answer within the provided strategies. In future research, open-endedquestions can be taken into questionnaire to examine the situation of strategy use on list andsome additional and creative strategies that are not listed initially.Third, 227 subjects in total from Northwest A & F University participate in the study.Relatively speaking, the sample is still small, and the findings represent only part of thecharacteristics of the students in strategy use. The results are not universal. In future study, alarge sample research across schools, provinces are expected.
