ething wrong with other parts, for they are mutually related. With treating one part, the body will not be cured for the other parts are also the reasons for this part’s problem. Radical treatment is better than symptomatic relief.
The world is originally comprehensive so the approach chosen to know and change it should be naturally comprehensive.
To sum up, how to carry forward the fine traditions and draw on the achievements of other civilizations is a decisive factor for Chinese development. In this paper, the comprehensive way of thinking is a fine tradition; while to foster the positive spirit of individualism in today’s China is one western achievement we should draw upon. To do so, the writer believes that Chinese culture is bound to revive in the twenty-first century.
Conclusion
With the analysis of different culture between America and China from the perspective of different cultural phenomena, this article find the deep cultural reason behind such difference in POW and analyze objectively the importance to foster the spirit of individualism in present China when it encounters setbacks in current reform and development. And then the paper puts forward the positive role of individualism in current Chinese society, and tries to enlighten readers on drawing upon the strong points of other civilizations and carrying forward the merits of Chinese traditional civilization at the same time. In today’s China, market economy and democracy all need the spirit of individualism. With openness and positive attitude of drawing on other civilizations’ strong points, China would avoid detours in its double social transformations from the type of farming to industry and from industry to information. So, the current task of primary importance is to do research of Chinese civilization to make it conform to the new era and to make it forever retain its youth.
