The Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park is one of the world’s largest conservation areas. That it is a trans-frontier national park enables us to take game drives in view of Namibia and Botswana, without ever crossing a border.
While a glimpse of the endemic black-maned lion is a highlight of the trip, visitors can also expect to see a diversity of species, especially of antelope and birds.
On leaving the Kalahari we head for Augrabies Falls, our second national park in this six-day trip, for a half-day river raft. Our guides will have even the most inexperienced rafters negotiating the rapids in no time!
Finally we head for the foot of the Cederberg to enjoy a dip in the pool and for those who are keen, a tasting of the local wines, before we finally make our way back to the Mother City.
