摘要:本文是英语毕业论文,本研究以《咬文嚼字》杂志和新浪网在 2006 年到 2015 年期间发表的中国十大网络流行语为研究对象,以认知社会语言学理论为框架,对年度流行语的意义、形式和形成成因进行了分析。
Chapter One Introduction
1.1 Research Background
With the rapid development of science and technology, the network language,including the hottest lines has attracted more and more attention of scholars. Networklanguage studies, has always been an important area of Sociolinguistics research. Theresearch on the hottest lines are endless and the results are also numerous these years.It has also affected people’s uses of language profoundly. It is one kind of variationform of the modern Chinese. Also, it is one kind of modern Chinese variation form,with which the people deal when they participate in network communications.Network language plays a very significant role in modern life nowadays.China’s hottest lines are developing along with the social phenomena. The kindof language form reflected social reality. At the meantime, the usage and spread of theChina’s hottest lines have become the noticeable social phenomena. Also, it has beenpaid wide attention by linguistics circle and sociology circle. However, the researchresults and achievements are more and more reflected in linguistics because of thefirst trait of the hottest lines, which is symbolic form.Since 2008, “Yaowenjiaozi” Magazine will publish Annual Ten Hottest Lines onChina’s Web (HLCW) every end of the year, which were recommended by themagazine readers and discussed as well as appraised by languages experts andspecialists. When it comes to hottest lines, people will have the new network languageterms such as “Beiju”(杯具(悲剧)), “VANCL Form”(凡客体), “Rich SecondGeneration”( 富 二 代 ), “Tongxie”( 童 鞋 ( 同 学 ) ), “Kengdie”( 坑 爹 ), “UnderPressure”(压力山大), “Yuanfang, What do you think?”(元芳,你怎么看?) at theirhearts. However, “Hottest Lines” is different from “New Lines” in the definition.

1.2 Research Questions
This
thesis is to investigate catchwords published in YAO WEN JIAO ZI from2006 to 2015. Three specific research questions are to be answered as follows:(1) What is the semantic meaning and the social value of these hottest lines?(2) What are the linguistics characteristics of these hottest lines?(3) What is the formation origin of these hottest lines?Firstly, I analyze the development of the cognitive sociolinguistics. Then,through analyzing the three kinds of sociolinguistics models, I exemplify theirinfluence towards the annual catchwords as the influencing factors. The research ofthe relationships between the sociolinguistics models and the catchwords will makepeople understand the daily catchwords better.Secondly, I analyze the annual catchwords from the angle of linguistic features.Through analyzing the basic types, constitute forms and the original fields, I explorethe function and the features of the catchwords.Finally, I analyze the formation reason through elaborating the meanings of thecatchwords from 2006 to 2015. According to the explanation and analysis, I reveal thedevelopment trends of the annual ten catchwords on China’s Web.
