Nowadays E-Business has dramatically affected the working aspects of modern businesses and many e-business models have been developed in last twenty years. Recently, one of most popular online to offline (O2O) business models, so-called overseas procurement service, became popular. To investigate the trend of this e-business model, the author focuses on three topics in this thesis: (1) identify the range and frequency of overseas procurement service between the people in China and overseas Chinese; (2) deep analyze the factors why people choose overseas procurement service; (3) deep analyze some law issues of procurement service and propose solutions for resolving these issues. To conduct this research the author first implemented the literature review for this topic. Then, the author designed and implemented a survey for Chinese in three locations: Beijing and shanghai in China and Sunderland in the UK, respectively. The methods of designing the survey are also presented in this chapter. After that, the author clearly presented the experimental data and implemented statistic analysis for these data. The author found that the groups of buyers, resellers, and sellers in procurement services were rather young and had high Education level. Moreover, buyers in procurement services have relative higher family annual's incoming. From this survey it can be seen that about half interviewees chose to use payment guaranteed by a third party such as PayPal and Alipay for procurement service payment. In this survey, the respondents thought that fraud experiences were one important concern for them. Besides, logistics is still a problem to limit the development of procurement service. For instance, our survey indicated that more than 26% interviewees thought that delivery was the most difficult in procurement services and unclear description of the goods is second difficulty. In the survey, all interviewees expressed their worries about the network security including their credit card information and personal information. In basis of our investigation results, the author proposed some recommendations to improve this business model and protect the transaction parties, including releasing reasonable policy for the international tax on procurement service. Later on, the author concluded the whole processes of the research and listed his finding in order to investigate further research. In the end, the reflection on this research was presented.
