摘要:本文是英语教学法论文,该研究将模因理论引入第二语言习得领域,将模因论和二语习得理论中的输入输出理论相结合,建立了模因英语五步教学法,“五步”即选材、背诵、仿写、创作和互评,并采用教学实验和问卷调查等手段进行实证研究,旨在探索中国高职高专英语写作教学的有效方法。
Chapter One Introduction
1.1 Research Background
Writing is an important macro skill of language acquisition and often the final form of comprehensive application of language, which is also an important way to develop students’ thinking ability and cultivate their comprehensive innovation ability. To a large extent, students’ writing ability reflects the overall level of English teaching and learning. As far as the students in China’s vocational colleges are concerned, due to the lack of accumulation of English corpus and the influence of the negative transfer of their native language, they often demonstrate a low level of proficiency in English compositions. They tend to make all kinds of errors, such as spelling mistakes, improper use of words, prominent grammar mistakes, lack of discourse coherence, etc. In order to improve these students’ writing ability, the English teachers in vocational colleges in China should strive to improve their teaching materials, teaching methods and evaluation methods. At present, product approach, process approach, process-genre approach and long-sentence approach are the main methodologies widely used in teaching writing in the vocational colleges. However, from the perspectives of language acquisition, these four approaches all entail too much emphasis on the process of language output, but involve little language input and accumulation, thus potentially cause some barriers in students’ writing process. On some level, it is imperative to establish a scientific theory that can guide the reform and innovation of the teaching methods in English writing in China’s vocational colleges.

1.2 Purpose of Research
Since the Meme theory first appeared in Richard Dawkins’s best-selling book The Selfish Gene in 1976, many scholars have carried out research on memetics and its application in language teaching. They argue that the replication and transmission of language memes contribute to the improvement of language teaching.
