1.0 Introduction 介绍


上海亚讯科技有限公司(该)是中国一家高科技公司,其业务在系统集成(SI)在金融、公安、国防、公路交通行业、LED、LCD系列。其主要产品包括呼叫中心系统、调度命令系统和智能接收系统。它拥有大约100名员工,有百分之60的技术人员。该公司拥有强大的研发能力,并获得了十多项技术专利。技术创新使公司脱颖而出,其竞争对手。自从公司在其国内市场多年的发展之后,公司已经取得了巨大的成功,它决定扩大其在印度的业务,以赚取更大的利润。


Shanghai Asiacom Technology Co, Ltd (Asiacom) is a high-tech company in China, which has businesses in system integration (SI) in finance, public security, national defense, highway communication industries and LED, LCD series. Its main products include Call Center system, Dispatching Command system, and Intelligent Receipt system. It has around 100 employees with 60 percent of technical personnel. The firm has strong capabilities of research and development and has obtained more than ten technical patents. The technological innovations have made the company stand out of its competitors. Since the firm has made great success in its home market after years’ development, it is deciding to expand its businesses in India so as to earn greater profits.

The purpose of this report is to implement theories of internationalization to the firm and propose some advices for its process of internationalization. It separately introduces and applies Dunning eclectic paradigm, learning theories of internationalization, and Porter’s diamond model. Then it ends with some recommendations for the firm’s internationalization process. 

2.0 Application of Eclectic Paradigm折衷范式的应用


邓宁的折衷范式具体解释为什么公司选择承担国际生产结合的三个概念:所有权优势、内部化优势和区位优势。它也被称为OLI框架。使用这种模式将揭示为什么该启动出国。Dunning’s eclectic paradigm specifically explains why firms choose to undertaken international production by integrating three concepts: ownership advantages, internalization advantages and location advantages. It is also known as OLI framework. The use of this paradigm will uncover the reasons why Asiacom initiates to go abroad. 


2.1 Ownership advantages

Ownership advantages are those which can make a firm to successfully outcompete its competitors (Porter, 1985). They usually result from possession of intangible assets, technological innovations, and other competitive capabilities or resources. These ownership advantages allow firms to strengthen competition and overcome barriers to operation in foreign countries. Asiacom has developed its ownership advantages mainly through continuous investment in product research and development. It not simply possesses some key patents in key products, but also cooperates with some research institutes such as Shanghai Jiaotong University. This ensures its obtainment of ownership advantages in technological innovations. 


2.2 Location advantages

Location advantages arise out of the exploitation of assets possessed and internalized by the firm in integration with resources in foreign markets. They play an important role in deciding whether and where to produce internationally. As for Asiacom, it has to have knowledge of India’s location conditions and advantages and be clearly aware of whether such resources can help its effective exploitation of assets in the country so as to ensure the oversea production more profitable. 


2.3 Internalization advantages
